National Basics Company (NBC) was established in April 1998 with the vision of supporting construction companies through the provision of cranes and heavy construction equipment.

As part of its strategic expansion, NBC gradually diversified into subcontract civil construction works. From the year 2000 onwards, the company became a key subcontractor to major EPC contractors, including Saudi Arabian Saipem and GCC.

In 2008, NBC advanced into direct contracting with Saudi Aramco, executing projects related to Sand Removal Services and OMPP works, marking a significant milestone in the company’s growth.

In 2023, NBC was awarded its first Lump Sum Turnkey (LSTK) project, “Prepare Drill Sites – Qatif”, with a contract value of SAR 437 million. During the same period, NBC also secured a Site Framework Agreement with NEOM Company, under which multiple work orders have been awarded, totalling approximately SAR 1.2 billion.

In April 2024, NBC, in consortium with its Italian partner Max Streicher, was awarded the prestigious “Master Gas Expansion Phase 3 – Package 11” project, with a contract value of approximately USD 616 million.
